Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Director, responsible for leading the Institutional Banking and Markets (IB&M) Embedded Risk & Conduct Advisory team. This pivotal role requires strong knowledge of the end-to-end Institutional Banking environment and effective application of the Operational Risk Management Framework (ORMF).

About the Role
  • This position involves ensuring effective assessment of risks, controls, and regulatory obligations across the business profile in alignment with risk appetite, regulatory expectations, and in conjunction with Line 2 counterparts.
  • The successful candidate will manage their team to drive continuous improvement of the business control environment, thorough investigation of incidents, and resolution of issues.
  • A key aspect of this role is anticipating and responding to emerging risks, conducting thematic reviews, and shaping proactive risk mitigation processes and controls.
  • This individual will also coordinate and attend risk and governance forums for GIBC and IB&M, deliver risk reporting, and metrics to drive accountability and improvements across the business.
Requirements
  • Experience in Non-Financial Risk, Conduct or Compliance roles within Institutional Banking or Financial Markets;
  • Deep understanding of operational risk frameworks, control design, and regulatory landscapes;
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, and strong critical thinking;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong organisational skills and high attention to detail;
  • Capacity to build relationships with diverse stakeholders and influence senior stakeholders;
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Powerpoint;
