At Beca, we are seeking a seasoned water professional to join our team as a Principal Water Infrastructure Development Specialist.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering technically excellent projects that help build healthy communities and sustainable outcomes throughout urban and regional Australia.

We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of water/wastewater industry standards and best practices, who can lead and mentor a team to drive successful project outcomes for our clients.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the development of water infrastructure projects, from study involvement to detailed design, analysis, construction/commissioning phase support and troubleshooting of mechanical systems.
  • Developing engineering work packages, including time-based estimates for deliverables.
  • Mentoring junior engineers and providing guidance on industry knowledge, innovation, and thought leadership.

As a trusted technical advisor, you will work closely with clients to understand their business needs and develop solutions that meet their expectations.

Key skills and qualifications required include:

  • Chartered Professional Engineer
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
  • Strong understanding of water/wastewater industry standards and best practices
  • Excellent technical and communication skills
  • Able to lead and mentor a team
