As an Academic Mentor for Mathematics Education, you will be tasked with developing and implementing a comprehensive math curriculum aligned with The Victorian Curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities, incorporating a range of teaching methods and resources.
- Provide timely feedback to students on their performance and progress in math, tailoring instruction to meet individual needs.
- Collaborate with other math teachers and school staff to share resources, ideas, and best practices, promoting a supportive environment.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on best practices in math education and teaching methodologies.
- Assist in planning and coordinating educational activities, contributing to the overall academic excellence of the school.
Requirements:
- A minimum 4-year tertiary qualification and unrestricted working rights in Australia.
- Current VIT registration and previous experience in teaching Secondary Maths in Australia.
