Postgres Database Administrator Role
  • Support, manage and maintain database workloads to ensure high performance.
  • Install, configure and upgrade DBMS to meet business requirements.
  • Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to optimize database efficiency.
  • Implement robust security protocols and backup procedures to safeguard data integrity.
  • Perform regular database maintenance tasks including backups, indexing and archiving.
  • Develop and implement disaster recovery plans and strategies to mitigate potential risks.
  • Collaborate with development teams to design database schemas and optimize queries for improved performance.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot database issues to provide timely resolutions.
Requirements and Qualifications

A Postgres Database Administrator will have extensive knowledge of database management systems and be able to support, manage and maintain databases at a high level. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills.
