Tax Opportunity

ESV is seeking an experienced accountant with a passion for business advisory and taxation to fill this key role. As a market leader in providing business advisor and taxation services, we cater to businesses, family groups, and high net wealth individuals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide taxation and business advice to various clientele.
  • Review accounts & tax returns, including compliance with all accounting standards.
  • Offer tax advice where appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance obligations, payroll tax, land tax, fringe benefit tax, stamp duty and the ASIC requirements are met.
  • Liaise with clients concerning management accounts and handle all client enquiries.
  • Ability to take on project work as part of the overall business needs.
  • Conduct technical research.
  • Involvement in internal training and other committees.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years in a professional practice.
  • Ability to manage large and complex groups and clients.
  • Experience managing workflow.
  • Able to delegate and review junior employees' work, ensuring it is completed to budget and of a high standard.
  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to manage expectations and develop strong morale within the team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly motivated and able to work autonomously.

The ideal candidate will have experience in strategic tax consulting, reviewing tax provisions, deferred tax calculations, preparation of detailed memorandums of advice, and tax controversy.
