We are seeking a highly skilled Hydrogeologist to join our team at the Tasmanian Government. As a key member of our Water branch, you will play a critical role in improving our scientific understanding of groundwater systems and their capacity to provide sustainable water supply for stock and domestic use on the Bass Strait Islands.

• Conduct groundwater investigations and assessments on Flinders Island and King Island.
• Undertake investigative work to examine the water balance, hydrogeology, extent, and quality of groundwater.
• Provide authoritative advice and expertise to stakeholders.
• Liaise with consultants, contractors, and local community members, including farmers and landowners.
• Travel to Bass Strait Islands as required (few times a year).

• A degree in environmental management, engineering, or science relevant to the professional duties to be undertaken, as provided by a university.

• A current motor vehicle driver's license.
• A current First Aid certificate.
