HSE Specialist

Savanna Energy Services is a leader in energy services, offering drilling, completions, and well servicing solutions in Australia. We are currently seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to join our growing team to support our Field/Rig Operations.

As an HSE Advisor, you will be responsible for providing guidance and support to our Field/Rig Operations team on health, safety, and environmental matters. You will work closely with our HSE Manager and HSE Leads to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

• Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
• Provide coaching and direction on the Savanna Assist and Assure program, including facilitating Rose Plot audits
• Investigate incidents and provide expertise to support sound decision-making at the shift supervision level
• Assist with HSE oversight across multiple rigs or assigned to a drilling rig for onsite support

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A minimum qualification level of Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety, or a Diploma in Work Health and Safety
• 3 years' experience in an HSE type role or good working knowledge of Risk Management practices and incident investigation techniques in the oil and gas industry
• ICAM/Taproot certification is highly regarded
• Knowledge of behaviour-based programs, such as Step 7/Assist and Assure
• Audit experience in the preparation and execution of audits
• Understanding and working knowledge of ISO 9001/45001/14001
