Key Responsibilities
  • You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems and design effective backend systems.
  • Taking technical ownership of entire software projects, you will ensure backend systems are secure, maintainable, and user-friendly.
  • You will lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of backend code to production.
  • Providing clear, detailed documentation is crucial in this role, including data flows, diagrams, test results, and code comments.
  • You will investigate and resolve backend issues based on customer and stakeholder feedback.
  • You will champion backend best practices by following clean, standardised coding conventions.
  • Mentorship and guidance of junior team members is also an important aspect of this role.
  • You will actively contribute to architectural discussions and technical decision-making within the team.
What We're Looking For
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in backend development.
  • Experience building, deploying and managing APIs on cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience building scalable and user-friendly backend applications.
  • A strong understanding of backend technologies and best practices is essential.
  • You will design and implement backend solutions based on requirements.
  • Experience with testing and verifying backend code is necessary.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly for technical documentation.
  • Proficiency with version control systems like GitHub and project management tools like Jira.
