**Job Title:** Metal Cutting Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Metal Cutting Specialist to join our team.

**Job Overview:

Our organisation is a leading manufacturer of aluminium security screening and glass products. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating saws using a computer-based system to cut aluminium, with the aim of achieving maximum material efficiency.

**Key Responsibilities:*

  • Load and unload saws accurately using a computer-based system to achieve optimal cutting results.
  • Understand equipment capabilities and limitations to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Maintain accurate records of worksheets to track production progress.
  • Use a tape measure easily and check all work consistently to ensure quality standards.
  • Arrange saw sequences for optimum material usage.
  • Monitor and maintain machines in good working condition to prevent downtime.
  • Follow all safety procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

  • Physically fit with good manual handling skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and a good team player.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Willingsness to learn and follow safety procedures.
  • Previous experience as a Saw Operator or Machine Operator.

**Desirable Attributes:**

  • Knowledge of current safety standards and regulations.
  • Forklift ticket.
  • White card.
