Fitter and Machinist

About the Role

• This is an opportunity for a skilled Fitter and Turner to work with our client in Belrose.
• The successful candidate will be required to work Monday to Friday and Saturdays as needed.
• This is a temp to perm opportunity for the right person.
• The ideal candidate will be flexible to work both day and afternoon shifts.
• The rate of pay is $55 per hour with weekly pay.

Key Responsibilities

• The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting and maintaining equipment regularly to ensure optimum production.
• They will complete mechanical and electrical preventative maintenance as per schedule.
• They will resolve equipment faults and breakdowns in a timely manner.
• They will promote and follow health and safety processes throughout the facility.

Tickets and Experience Required

• The successful candidate will need to have a Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade (Fitter and Turner) qualification.
• They will need to be able to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
• They will need to have an understanding of OH&S requirements.
• Exposure to PLC systems is desirable, with training available.
• They will need to be able to work independently and make decisions.
