Key Role: Major Gifts Fundraiser

We are seeking an experienced major gifts fundraiser to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to build enduring relationships with donors, support our philanthropic ambitions and make a lasting impact on the lives of students.

This role involves cultivating key relationships, managing a portfolio of prospective major and mid-tier donors, delivering donor events and communications, and maintaining effective records of donor engagement. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in fundraising, marketing or community engagement, excellent interpersonal and project management skills, and a sound knowledge of the principles of marketing, communications and fundraising.

The successful applicant will be flexible, adaptable and innovative, with a strong ability to interpret, analyse and report on data. They will also have a passion for working with people at all levels and a commitment to prioritising wellbeing, adventure, creativity and academic rigour.

Job Description

  • Cultivate key relationships to build trust and long-term engagement with donors.
  • Manage a portfolio of prospective major and mid-tier donors to support priority projects.
  • Deliver donor events and communications that engage and inspire donors.
  • Maintain effective records of donor engagement through our advanced CRM system.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience in fundraising, marketing or community engagement.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent project management skills and time management.
  • Demonstrated ability in strategic planning and creative thinking.
  • A sound knowledge of the principles of marketing, communications and fundraising.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
