Senior Associate or Special Counsel

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Associate or Special Counsel to join our national Workplace Relations Legal & Consulting team at the Australian Industry Group.
As a member of this team, you will work on legal and consulting matters, providing expert advice and representation to our members and clients on workplace relations and employment law issues.
You will be working at the cutting edge of workplace, industrial relations, and employment issues, combining strategic, practical, and technically astute capability in the work that you do.
Key Responsibilities- Providing workplace and industrial relations advice, assistance, and advocacy across both our consulting and legal practices.
- Working with a high degree of direct member/client interaction, including advising across a broad range of industries from small and medium enterprises to some of Australia's largest businesses.
- Managing a diverse range of matters, including enterprise agreements, employment contracts, termination of employment, general protections, anti-discrimination, compliance, industrial disputes, and workplace health and safety.
- Degree qualifications in Law and IR.
- 5-7 years relevant workplace relations or industrial relations experience gained from a well-regarded law firm, union, or employer organisation.
- Strong analytical and writing skills.
- Understanding of the employment and workplace legal framework.
- A desire to provide excellent advice and representation to employers.
- The ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment.
