Many older Australians experience loneliness and isolation. Our Aged Care Visitor program aims to address this issue by providing companionship to elderly individuals. We are seeking a volunteer visitor who can engage with an elderly lady in Serbian or Hungarian language.
The RoleWe have a resident with dementia and anxiety, requiring comfort and emotional support. Visits will be conducted in residential care, Ashmore, at 10am on any day. The ideal candidate will provide emotional support and take the resident on wheelchair outings into the garden.
Key RequirementsCandidates must provide proof of Covid-19 and Flu vaccination. We offer training support for this role, with a minimum commitment period of 20 weeks.
By volunteering with our program, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the life of an elderly individual. You will also gain valuable experience working with people with dementia and anxiety.
