As a key member of our Controls Colo Regional Engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of cloud computing. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring seamless operations, enhancing efficiency, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Work closely with the control team to develop and implement standards for new and existing projects.
  2. Review and approve design submissions for controls systems in new data centers, guaranteeing consistency across all locations.
  3. Identify and mitigate risks associated with Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) for operational data centers.
  4. Assess automation controls drawings, wiring diagrams, control logic programming, and graphical user interfaces for potential issues.
  5. Approve proposed changes to site-specific control infrastructure against AWS Data Center standards, documenting deviations when necessary.
  6. Collaborate on sequence of operation reviews for Colo and Hybrid controls systems, providing valuable feedback to design teams.
  7. Support the design and development of upgrades for existing data center control systems, focusing on capacity enhancements, improved availability, and increased efficiency.
  8. Troubleshoot site/equipment failures related to control equipment, conducting root cause analysis and creating corrective action documentation.
  9. Conduct site audits of Colo Data Centers, identifying risks and recommending mitigation strategies.
  10. Collaborate on construction, commissioning, and turnover activities for controls systems in new construction projects.


Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in controls engineering, preferably in a cloud computing environment.
  • Proven track record of successful project delivery, emphasizing quality, efficiency, and collaboration.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
