Job Description

Mental health support workers play a vital role in assisting individuals with mental health conditions to recover and improve their overall well-being. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a positive impact on the lives of those in need.

The job involves conducting assessments, developing care plans, and working closely with service users, healthcare teams, social services, and voluntary organizations to provide comprehensive support. Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct thorough mental health assessments and create tailored care plans that meet individual needs.
  2. Provide emotional support and guidance to service users experiencing various mental health conditions.
  3. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including NHS staff, private healthcare providers, social services, and voluntary organizations.
  4. Ensure safeguarding and risk management measures are in place for vulnerable individuals.
  5. Support hospital discharge planning, crisis intervention, and community reintegration efforts.
  6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records, adhering to relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification.
  • Registration with Social Work England or relevant governing body.
  • Experience in at least one area: NHS, private hospitals, councils, or community-based mental health services.
  • Familiarity with relevant legislation, such as the Mental Health Act, Care Act, and Mental Capacity Act.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • A compassionate and proactive approach to supporting individuals with mental health needs.
