Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Safety and Quality Manager to join our team at BMD Constructions.
This role is responsible for assisting our project teams on a water project and ensuring that our people return home safely to their families every day.
As a Safety and Quality Manager, you will be a natural relationship builder with excellent communication skills and strong technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Steer the development and implementation of HSEQ standards that align with compliance and due diligence requirements.
- Undertake audits and inspections to ensure compliance with HSEQ standards.
- Work closely with senior management to prepare reports and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Motivate and educate BMD employees to champion best practice use of our systems.
- Develop work method statements, project plans, and inspection and test plans.
- Implement system changes and improvements to demonstrate continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- A qualification in work health and safety (minimum of Certificate IV).
- Knowledge of current legislation, standards, and industry requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in a Safety Management role on civil infrastructure projects.
Desirable Skills:
- Qualifications in training and assessment.
- Previous experience in water projects.
