Job Description:

Sportsbet is a leading online sports gambling brand that values innovation and technology.

As a Software Engineer .NET, you will be part of the innovative team that builds accurate sports trading platforms.

You will work on projects that involve liaising with stakeholders to understand requirements, turning requirements into design documents, and designing code.

You will need to apply appropriate technologies to build user interfaces, integrate with APIs, and participate in testing, sign-off, and support activities.

The ideal candidate will have several technical projects under their belt, demonstrating their ability to autonomously tackle problems of increasing technical complexity and deliver solutions that enhance our software and technical processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • .NET Core and C# development with IoC/DI
  • Unit testing and mocking frameworks (NUnit, Moq, NSubstitute)
  • Event-driven architecture, messaging, and event bus platforms (Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS Event Bridge)
  • Experience with React is desirable
  • Distributed caching (Redis, Memcached)
  • CI/CD - Continuous Delivery (GitHub Actions, Octopus, Jenkins)
  • Building scalable and self-healing infrastructure in the cloud
  • Solid understanding of multi-threading and low-latency programming techniques
  • Experience in producing high-quality code using practices like TDD, BDD
  • Previous exposure to high-traffic/distributed software systems
  • Previous exposure to high-throughput mission-critical systems

Requirements:

  • Mid-senior level experience in software development
  • Strong knowledge of .NET Core and C#
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
