The role of a Nurse Care Specialist at Aged Care Homes is to provide exceptional nursing care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being is met. As a key member of our clinical team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized care plans, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic care, and promoting a culture of respect and dignity within our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of residents' needs and develop personalized care plans to address their physical, emotional, and psychological requirements
  • Deliver high-quality nursing care, including administering medications, performing medical procedures, and providing wound care
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, therapists, and support staff, to ensure comprehensive care and effective communication
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care plans, making adjustments as needed to ensure optimal resident outcomes
  • Contribute to a culture of respect, empathy, and compassion within our facilities, promoting dignity and autonomy for all residents

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (or equivalent) and current AHPRA registration (Nursing)
  • At least 2 years of experience in a nursing role, preferably in an aged care setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals
  • A commitment to providing high-quality, person-centered care, with a focus on resident dignity, autonomy, and well-being
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
