Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and Resolve Incidents: Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues within our environment to ensure prompt incident resolution.
  • Configure and Provision Services: Handle technical provisioning and configure elements to complete service requests efficiently.
  • Design and Document IT Infrastructure: Create technical designs and documentation, including network diagrams, test plans, and reports, for both new and existing IT infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with the team and stakeholders to develop and implement technical solutions, as well as establish policies, procedures, and training plans for operations and maintenance.
  • Show Initiative and Drive Innovation: Show initiative, take ownership, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the organization to drive innovative solutions and resolve incidents. Serve as a subject matter expert in various forums.
  • Provide On-Call Support: Provide on-call after-hours support and participate in scheduled out-of-hours work.

Essential Criteria:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Networking Expertise: Strong expertise in IP networking system design and fault analysis (certifications are a plus).
  • Hands-on Experience: Extensive hands-on experience across network design and daily operational tasks.
  • Senior-Level Experience: Senior-level experience with IP/MPLS networking in utility, carrier, service provider environments, or transforming complex enterprise networks such as cloud migration.
  • Vendor Platforms: Strong experience with vendor platforms like Juniper, Palo Alto, F5, Aruba, Nokia, and Azure Cloud.
  • Network Security: In-depth knowledge of network security and familiarity with current industry trends.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent team player with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-Motivation and Accountability: High level of self-motivation, accountability, and ability to collaborate with stakeholders to develop innovative solutions.
  • Industry Standards: Strong grasp of current industry standards and frameworks such as ITIL, FCAPS, Agile, etc.
  • Utilities Industry Experience: Experience working in the utilities industry is a plus.
