Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Senior Cost Controller to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing project cost control functions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and project financial targets.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, maintain, and oversee project budgets in coordination with project managers and finance teams.
- Conduct in-depth cost analysis, tracking expenditures, variances, and financial risks, providing proactive solutions to mitigate cost overruns.
- Evaluate change requests, assess financial impacts, and ensure budget updates are accurately reflected.
- Collaborate with senior leadership, finance teams, contractors, and clients, providing expert cost management insights and recommendations.
- Support and mentor junior cost controllers, ensuring best practices in cost management are upheld.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cost control functions on complex, large-scale projects.
- Strong understanding of contractual and commercial management principles, particularly in infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience in cost control or financial management, preferably within the construction, engineering, or infrastructure sector.
- Familiarity with project management principles and methodologies.
- Proficiency in financial modelling, budgeting software, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
