Job Title

The Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Amberley is seeking a highly skilled Security Advisor.

This key position involves managing and maintaining the security of information and physical environments in accordance with relevant policy and doctrine.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facility Access Management: Ensure secure access to facilities, accreditation, and compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
  • Personnel Security Clearances: Manage personnel security clearances, compartments, and programs to maintain confidentiality and integrity.
  • Security Policy Governance: Advise 87 Squadron staff and command team on defence security policy and governance matters.
  • Incident Management: Investigate and manage security incidents, ensuring prompt response and resolution.
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff and stakeholders.
  • Well-organized and able to read and interpret policy documents.
  • Confident decision-making and problem-solving abilities.

Work will be performed in a fast-paced environment with high levels of autonomy, utilizing computer systems and sitting at a desk for extended periods. Occasional distance walking may also be required.
