About the Role
This 12-month fixed-term position offers the chance to develop your skills and expertise in computational chemistry while contributing to the success of our research team. You will work closely with our research leader and collaborate with other team members to achieve our research goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute independently or as a team member in collaborative research with a focus on enhancing the quality of research outcomes in the discipline area.
- Conduct research and/or enable research teams to create scholarly output that is recognised by peers.
- Support the dissemination of research outcomes through appropriate channels and high-quality peer-reviewed journals.
- Participate in conferences and workshops relevant to the project as required.
- Align with and actively demonstrate the Code of Conduct and Values.
Requirements
- A PhD in computational chemistry or a related discipline.
- Proven commitment to proactively keeping up to date with discipline knowledge and developments.
- Demonstrated experience using quantum chemistry and molecular dynamics software (e.g., Gaussian, Q-CHEM, ORCA, NAMD, and GROMACS).
- Demonstrated ability to undertake high-quality academic research and conduct independent research with limited supervision.
- Demonstrated track record of publications and conference presentations relative to opportunity.
