Electrical Systems Engineer

This role involves designing, installing and maintaining high voltage electrical systems to ensure the reliability and safety of critical infrastructure. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of electrical standards and be able to troubleshoot complex issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs routine preventive maintenance and repairs on standard equipment.
  • Constructs and installs system components, equipment, and fixtures.
  • Diagnoses and troubleshoots faults in installations.
  • Makes modifications to a variety of devices using standard test equipment.
  • Adheres to safety procedures when working with electricity.
  • Measures and controls electrical parameters.
  • Prepares technical documentation.

Requirements:

  • Must be a US or Australian citizen.
  • Must have a US TS / SCI clearance w / Poly, or an Australian PV clearance.
  • Must have a minimum of five years of experience working with medium and high voltages.
  • Must possess a Union / Utility MV and HV certifications, or the Australian equivalent.
  • Must be knowledgeable of operating / maintaining switch gears, transformers, isolation breakers.

About the Role:

This is a contingent position based upon contract award. The role will be located in Alice Springs, at a 4,400-acre facility with approximately 687,000 square feet of mission and support space.
