Job Summary:
The Pharmacy Care Specialist plays a vital role in the delivery of pharmacy services, supporting pharmacists in various activities and ensuring the provision of quality care to patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in pharmacy operations, maintaining accuracy and efficiency in all tasks
- Work effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve patient-centered outcomes
- Support pharmacists in medication management, inventory control, and other key areas
- Maintain accurate records and reports, contributing to data-driven decision making
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Prior hospital pharmacy experience is an asset
- Knowledge of hospital policies and procedures, including health and safety standards
- Excellent communication, reading, writing, math, and typing skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively
Education and Certification:
- Graduation from an accredited pharmacy technician program is preferred
- Registration as a Registered Pharmacy Technician with the relevant regulatory body is required
