ACT Health is seeking a dedicated Senior Clinician to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) Acute team, working with young people and their families/carers.
About the TeamCAMHS provides assessment and treatment for young people up to the age of 18 years who are experiencing moderate to severe mental health issues. Our team works collaboratively to provide short term intensive support during periods of high mental health acuity.
The successful candidate will be based within CAMHS Acute Services, primarily Day Program which offers a mixture of group and individual interventions to support young people and their families/carers. This will involve working with consumers and carers to develop and implement person-centred care plans, monitor progress, and adjust treatment as needed.
A strong focus on consumer and carer participation is encouraged in all aspects of service planning and delivery. This includes developing and implementing treatment plans, coordinating care with other healthcare professionals, and ensuring continuity of care for patients.
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess excellent clinical skills, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills. You will also need to comply with relevant policies and procedures, including the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 and the Canberra Health Services Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination policy.
