Job Title: Sr. Solutions Architect

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Solutions Architect to join our team at Databricks. As a key member of our pre-sales team, you will work closely with our customers to design and implement innovative data solutions using our Databricks Lakehouse Platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical evaluations and provide hands-on guidance to customers throughout the sales process.
  • Collaborate with the product team to advocate for customer needs and provide technical expertise.
  • Help customers achieve data-driven outcomes through the use of our platform, including data engineering and data science projects.
  • Grow as a leader in your field, finding solutions to customers' biggest challenges in big data, analytics, and data science.

The Impact You Will Have:

  • You will be a Big Data Analytics expert, providing guidance on architecture and design.
  • Lead customers through evaluating and adopting Databricks, including hands-on Spark programming and integration with the wider cloud ecosystem.
  • Support customers by authoring reference architectures, how-tos, and demo applications.
  • Integrate Databricks with 3rd-party applications to support customer architectures.
  • Engage with the technical community by leading workshops, seminars, and meet-ups.

What We Look For:

  • Pre-sales or post-sales experience working with external clients across various industry markets.
  • Understanding of customer-facing pre-sales or consulting roles with a core strength in data engineering or data science.
  • Experience demonstrating technical concepts, including presenting and white-boarding.
  • Experience designing and implementing architectures within a public cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Experience with Big Data technologies, including Spark, AI, Data Science, Data Engineering, Hadoop, Cassandra, and others.
  • Solid coding experience in Python, R, Java, Spark, or Scala.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience through work experience.
