About the Role

The Strategic Workforce Director at UNSW Australia plays a pivotal part in shaping the university's workforce to meet the demands of an evolving educational landscape. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, this visionary leader will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop a highly skilled and committed team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive strategic workforce plans, analysing and interpreting the needs of the workforce to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Analyse and interpret complex data to make informed decisions, utilising exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders, including Deans, School Leaders, Directors, and HR partners, to drive the adoption of leading-edge trends and technologies.

Requirements

  • A proven track record in developing and implementing strategic workforce plans, coupled with strong leadership capability and the ability to build and manage high-performing teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organisation.
  • Experience with workforce planning tools and HR systems, as well as exceptional communication and presentation skills.
