High Voltage Power Systems Engineer

As a High Voltage Power Systems Engineer at Aurecon, you'll be part of a team that's shaping the future of power systems. You'll work on projects that require in-depth knowledge of electrical engineering and power systems theory, including transmission, distribution, and generation.
Your role will include undertaking power systems studies, developing wide-area network models, preparing grid connection application documents, and interfacing with clients and other industry organisations. You'll need to have an adequate understanding of electrical engineering and power systems theory, as well as experience in power system modeling tools like PSCAD, PSS/E, and Power Factory.
We value team members who are passionate about re-imagining problems and continuous learning. As our ideal candidate, you'll have a genuine interest in re-shaping the future of power systems. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering is required, and a PhD degree would be favourable. Experience in site and practical settings, particularly in relevant areas, is also a plus.
You'll be responsible for developing technical solutions to complex network and connection issues, working closely with clients and other industry organisations to ensure successful project outcomes. This requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
With your expertise in high voltage power systems, you'll play a crucial role in helping us achieve our goal of delivering carbon-neutral and sustainable major works. Your contributions will shape the future of power systems and make a real impact on the environment.
