About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Sneaker Retail Expert to join our team at Platypus in Albany. As a key member of our sales floor, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences, ensuring that every customer leaves with a smile on their face and a new pair of sneakers in their hands.

You will be working in a fast-paced environment surrounded by premium products, always staying up-to-date with the latest sneaker releases and trends. Our customers are passionate about streetwear and sneaker culture, and we need someone who shares their enthusiasm and can bring this passion to life in-store.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide outstanding customer service, answering questions and making recommendations on our extensive range of sneakers
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales targets and drive business growth
  • Process large volumes of stock, maintaining accurate records and ensuring high levels of inventory management
  • Pick and pack click-and-collect orders efficiently and effectively
  • Assist with maintaining store operations, including visual merchandising, housekeeping, and cleaning as required

Requirements:
  • A minimum of 4-6 months' previous retail experience, preferably in a similar role or industry
  • A strong passion for streetwear and sneaker culture, with a deep understanding of current trends and styles
  • The ability to work well under pressure, managing multiple tasks and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
  • A commitment to providing exceptional customer service, consistently meeting or exceeding customer satisfaction targets
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to build rapport with colleagues and customers alike
