Class Teacher Opportunity

We are seeking a qualified and experienced educator to fill a Class Teacher position at a government school in Melbourne.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement high-quality teaching programs to achieve specific student outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of curriculum programs within the school.
  • Monitor and assess student learning, using data to inform teaching practice and provide feedback to students and parents.
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues and the broader school community.
  • Engage in continuous professional learning to enhance teaching practices.

About the Role:

  • This is a full-time position available for a period of approximately 12 months.
  • The successful applicant will be expected to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve school priorities and contribute to the development of school policies and programs.
  • The role includes direct teaching, planning, preparation and supervision of student teachers.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum and ability to incorporate literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Experience in responding to student learning needs and using data to inform teaching practice.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships.
  • Aligns with Department values and demonstrates commitment to ongoing professional growth.
