About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and accomplished Veterinary Pathology Academic Leader to join our team at Charles Sturt University. As a key member of our faculty, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of veterinary pathology education and research.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support innovative research, teaching, and diagnostic services in veterinary pathology, collaborating with industry experts and academic colleagues.
  • Contribute to and lead an established and highly functional team of pathology academics, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Expand professional opportunities and develop highly sought-after graduates in veterinary pathology, aligning with the strategic direction of the School.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to junior staff and students, promoting their growth and development in veterinary pathology.
Requirements
  • Current registration or eligibility for registration with the Veterinary Practitioners Board of NSW.
  • A record of research/creative works and/or professional activity relevant to the Veterinary Pathology discipline, commensurate with the level being applied for.
  • Experience in delivering high-quality student-centered learning and teaching in Veterinary Pathology, with a focus on innovative pedagogies and assessment methods.
  • Highly developed communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within academic and/or laboratory teams, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and collaboration.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide leadership within the Veterinary Pathology discipline, related to teaching and/or research or professional activity, with a focus on strategic planning and implementation.
