Role Overview:
The Head of Learning Area – Health and Physical Education (HPE) is responsible for leading a high-performing HPE team, fostering a positive school culture, and driving excellence in teaching and learning across Years 7 to 12.
A key component of this role is the leadership of our highly successful Soccer Academy, where you will oversee program development, student engagement, and community partnerships.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and lead others
- Forward-thinking approach to curriculum and instruction, embracing opportunities for innovation and collaboration
- Proven ability to lead strategic planning, performance development, and data-informed decision-making
- Effective organisational and event management skills, ensuring smooth delivery of programs and initiatives
Leadership: Lead the HPE team, developing and implementing a vision for the area that aligns with the school's goals and priorities.
Curriculum Development: Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement innovative curriculum programs that meet the needs of students.
Soccer Academy: Oversee the successful operation of the Soccer Academy, including program development, student engagement, and community partnerships.
Strategic Planning: Contribute to whole-school strategic planning, identifying areas for improvement and developing plans to address them.
Communication: Foster strong relationships with teachers, students, parents, and the wider community, promoting a positive school culture.
Wellbeing: Promote wellbeing and build strong partnerships within and beyond the school community.
