About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia. As a Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data systems and architectures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop data pipelines and ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
  • Develop and maintain large-scale data systems and architectures using Big Data solutions such as Cloudera Hadoop and Teradata.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business problems and devise data-driven solutions.
  • Develop and maintain data models and data dictionaries to ensure data consistency and quality.
  • Ensure data security and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in data engineering with a strong background in Big Data solutions.
  • Experience with data modeling concepts and frameworks such as Data Vault and Kimball.
  • Strong skills in writing SQL scripts and scripting in Java or Python.
  • Experience with data delivery life cycle and associated concepts.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
