Position Overview

As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in our organization, contributing to innovative solutions for complex engineering challenges. Ausenco is recognized for its forward-thinking approach and commitment to delivering exceptional consulting and project management services.

Key Responsibilities

· Develop and assess technical documentation and deliverables pertinent to engineering disciplines.

· Draft specifications, design parameters, scope of work, and material estimations.

· Ensure that engineering deliverables meet established standards, undergo thorough review, and receive necessary approvals prior to distribution.

· Formulate engineering proposals and oversee budget adherence, promptly addressing any variances.

· Coordinate project team activities to meet time and budgetary goals.

· Maintain effective communication with the Engineering Manager, providing updates on technical progress, staffing, budgetary concerns, and schedules.

· Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Engineering Group by implementing best practices and leveraging industry knowledge.

· Engage with clients to ascertain their needs and assess alternative solutions.

· Lead and mentor a small team, facilitating training on new processes and methodologies.

Candidate Profile

· Bachelor's degree in engineering or applied sciences.

· Extensive experience within an engineering consultancy, preferably in an EPCM environment.

· Proven track record in designing steel structures and concrete foundations for industrial and mining applications.

· In-depth understanding of engineering standards such as ISO, AS, ANSI, and API.

· Previous supervisory experience in industry-related operations or research is advantageous.

· Proficient in client and contractor interactions.

· Capable of working autonomously, collaboratively within a team, and as part of a multidisciplinary group.
