About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to join our team in a Land Side R&D role. As an Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating landside operations, ensuring productivity, safety, and customer performance standards are met.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and manage landside operations to achieve safe and effective results.
  • Lead, motivate, and direct employees to perform their functions in accordance with safety and operational standards.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory obligations and company policies regarding Human Resources, WHS&E.
  • Manage individual employee performance, including discipline, grievances, and training.
  • Liaise with clients to establish and maintain productive relationships.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Supervisory experience in the stevedoring or similar industry.
  • Previous experience leading and managing people.
  • Knowledge of WHS&E requirements and obligations.
  • Experience in high-risk operating environments.
  • Understanding of operational capabilities of machinery and lifting gear.
  • Appropriate licenses (e.g., forklift, rigger, crane).
  • Computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook).
