The Team

Our Finance team is led by highly regarded partners known for their deep market expertise. The team advises a broad mix of major banks, sponsors, corporates, and government clients on complex and high-value financing matters.

Position Description

In this role, you will work closely with a strong team of lawyers across the finance practice, collaborating with partners and lawyers across real estate, corporate, and projects. You will provide advice on:

  • Corporate finance, leveraged finance, and acquisition finance
  • Real estate finance and development finance
  • Syndicated lending and bilateral lending
  • Transactions involving ASX-listed companies, REITs, and major financial institutions
  • Acting for domestic and offshore lenders, borrowers, and sponsors
  • Cross-border financing transactions
  • Debt structuring, refinancing, and security arrangements
  • Legal due diligence and transaction management
  • Intercreditor agreements and subordination arrangements
  • Financial services regulatory compliance

You will be exposed to large-scale and complex matters, gain hands-on experience with high-profile clients, and benefit from working in a high-performing, supportive team of experienced finance professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Deliver technical advice on a range of finance matters within a top-tier, national, or international private practice environment
  2. Provide legal support to clients on complex financing transactions
  3. Collaborate with partners and lawyers across real estate, corporate, and projects
  4. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues
  5. Stay up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations affecting the finance industry
Requirements
  1. Minimum 3 years' legal experience delivering technical advice on finance matters
  2. Admission to practise in Australia or New Zealand
  3. Excellent academic record and strong legal skills
  4. A proactive approach with a desire to be an integral member of a leading team
  5. Ability to work to tight timeframes, both collaboratively and autonomously
  6. Excellent communication skills and a collegial attitude
