We're seeking an experienced Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) Engineer/Technical Officer to contribute to our Hunter Class Frigate Program in Osborne, SA or Melbourne, Vic.

About the Role
  • Support continuous build strategy by contributing to E3 content of engineering management plans and systems engineering management plans.
  • Provide input to E3 design engineering, production support, development and integration testing, and performance evaluation capability to the project.
  • Review System Cable Schematic Drawings and Cable Schedules.
  • Work with key suppliers to ensure project E3 needs are clearly articulated and integrated.
Your Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will work on a range of tasks including:

  1. Developing and implementing E3 strategies to ensure project success.
  2. Providing technical guidance and support to other team members.
  3. Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure project deliverables meet requirements.
  4. Maintaining accurate records and reports.
About You
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (ideally in Electronics) or post-graduate qualifications in Radio Frequency (RF) and/or maritime/Navy experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in RF and/or Antenna Design is required.
  • Understanding and exposure to electromagnetic environmental effects (E3) issues are highly desirable.
  • Knowledge and/or understanding of Emanations Security (EMSEC) are also highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential for working with various stakeholders.
  • NV1 Defence security clearance is mandatory.
  • Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations is also required.
