We are seeking a skilled Culinary Professional to join our team at The Star Brisbane, a premier entertainment hub in the heart of the new Queen's Wharf Brisbane precinct.

About the Role

As a key member of our culinary team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the success of our events and hospitality operations. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing high-quality dishes for presentation, adhering to menu requirements and kitchen standards;
  • Mentoring and developing junior chefs in the team;
  • Performing complex cooking duties with minimal supervision and assisting with mise en place across all sections;

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A thorough knowledge of the entire menu, including an understanding of all base products and ingredients used;
  • Familiarity with kitchen standards (SOPs) and ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
  • Certification and qualifications relevant to the position (for more senior roles);
  • High-volume culinary experience, particularly in a senior capacity (for more senior roles).
