Job Title:

Technical Integration Specialist

A career opportunity exists for an experienced technical integration specialist to play a key role in planning, implementing, and optimising the integration of complex systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, implement, and control activities to integrate system elements, subsystems, and interfaces to create operational systems, products, or services.
  • The scope of integration includes system elements, subsystems, interfaces, and software components including computing, storage, networking, and cloud services. Systems integration to create systems for testing purposes as well as for operational use by customers and users.
  • Identify, create, and apply software development and security standards and plan and design software.
  • Estimate time and effort required for software construction, amendment, and verification of secure software.
  • Apply test-driven development and ensure appropriate test coverage and develop organisational capabilities, processes, and procedures for automation and continuous integration of build, packaging, testing, security, and deployment.
  • Build and operate a continuous integration (CI) capability when required, employing version control of source code and related artefacts.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Provide technical expertise to enable the configuration of system components and equipment for systems testing.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to develop and agree system integration plans and report on progress.
  • Define complex/new integration and ensure correct configuration of environments.
  • Design, perform, and report results of tests of the integration build and identify and document system integration components for recording in the configuration management system.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to processes and tools.
  • Plan and drive activities to develop organisational systems integration and build capabilities including automation and continuous integration.
