About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Advisor to join our team in the Clearing and Settlement Section. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in markets, financial market infrastructures, regulatory practice and/or crisis management.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and testing crisis management plans for critical infrastructures.
  • They will lead work to develop robust and legally sound processes and arrangements to deploy crisis management powers.
  • Collaboration with other parts of the clearing and settlement section, including supervisors of critical infrastructure and subject matter experts, is essential.
  • The role requires strong engagement with stakeholders, including other domestic regulators and critical infrastructures.
  • Collaboration within the RBA, including engagement with other areas working on crisis readiness, is also crucial.

About You

  • We are looking for passionate individuals who are highly familiar with Australian financial markets, including critical infrastructure; or experienced in the development and application of crisis management or resolution frameworks.
  • The ideal candidate will be results-focussed, with a demonstrated ability to drive towards solutions with a high degree of autonomy in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong written and personal communication skills, as well as the ability to manage and coordinate a wide range of stakeholders, are essential.
  • A commitment to teamwork, exceptional integrity, and a desire to contribute to the Australian community are also key requirements.
  • Tertiary qualifications in relevant areas such as economics, financial services, markets, law, regulation, and public policy are desirable.
