We are seeking a skilled Child Protection Specialist to join our team.
About the Role:- The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-level advice and support to staff and external agencies on complex child protection issues, including sexual abuse, harmful sexual behaviors, and child sexual exploitation.
- They will facilitate decision-making processes for child protection staff and agency partners in cases involving complex concerns around child sexual abuse, harmful sexual behavior, and child sexual exploitation.
- The role involves contributing to the development of culturally appropriate working relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and service providers.
- Promoting a culture of continuous reflective review within the team is crucial to ensure quality support for frontline staff and agency partners.
- Maintaining accurate case records and delivering professional summaries is essential for effective communication.
- Applying professional practice experience in relevant child protection fields is vital to provide relevant frontline support.
- A degree in behavioral or social sciences from a recognized tertiary institute.
- A 'C' class driver's license and ability to undertake intrastate travel.
- Frontline child protection experience is highly regarded.
