About The Role

We are seeking expressions of interest from rotary wing pilots who wish to be considered for pilot-in-command at our Hobart/Cambridge base.

As rotary wing pilot-in-command, your key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as the pilot-in-command in accordance with safety protocols and statutory requirements for the safe, effective, and efficient operation of aircraft.
  • Maintaining crew coordination and cooperation in a multi-crew environment.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety protocols and statutory requirements for the safe, effective, and efficient operation of company aircraft.
  • Preparing to fully support emergency air services, including adhering to community health guidelines where required.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have the following qualifications, skills, and experience:

  • Strong communication skills.
  • A safety-first attitude.
  • Enthusiasm and drive to achieve and maintain the highest level of competency for medical transport and emergency service operations.
  • Fully vaccinated against MMR (measles, mumps, rubella), Varicella, Pertussis, Hepatitis B.
  • Hold or able to obtain registration to work with vulnerable people (RWVP) Tasmania.

You must be domiciled within 2 hours' drive of Hobart. ATPL(H) or CPL(H) with ATPL(H) subjects, CIR MEH with minimum 3 renewals (IPCs), NVFR(H), NVIS(H), LL-SOLL-WR >2500 hours helicopter, >2000 hours PIC helicopter, >1500 hours PIC turbine helicopter, >100 hours under IFR, >100 hours PIC night unaided, >30 hours NVIS Class 1 medical, Dangerous Goods Certificate, HUET/EBS (preferred), Previous SAR/ALE experience (preferred).
