This is a full-time appointment on an ongoing (tenurable) basis with a start date of January 2025. The base salary range is Level B, $113,934 - $134,824 p.a.; Level C, $139,000 – 159,893 plus 17% superannuation.

About the Team

The UWA School of Agriculture and Environment (SAg E) is committed to high impact research and quality teaching. Its teaching and research activities span the broad disciplines of Agricultural, Environmental and Resource Economics, Agricultural Science, and Environmental Science, and rank highly nationally and internationally in these areas.

About the Position

This position will involve independent teaching and research in Agricultural/Environmental Economics. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Unit design, delivery, and content management
  • Engaging with students and school staff to ensure a high-quality learning experience
  • Undertaking independent and collaborative research with other staff members and partners
  • Attracting grants to fund research from national/international funding agencies
  • Engaging with industry
  • Publishing high-quality papers in leading journals
  • Supervising honours and graduate students' research projects
About You

To be considered for this opportunity, you will be expected to demonstrate:

  • A Ph.D. in Agricultural/Environmental Economics, or a relevant discipline
  • A demonstrated ability to deliver high-level quality teaching at undergraduate, honours, and postgraduate levels across a variety of settings, including in the field
  • A demonstrated ability to develop a strong research and publication track record
  • A demonstrable ability to lead public engagement activities that promote research and/or education outcomes, government, and industry
