The NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Integrity Officer (Complaints) to join the Internal Integrity Unit (IIU). The primary objective of the IIU is to promote public confidence and trust in the NDIS Commission.

The successful candidate will be responsible for dealing with referrals to the IIU from internal and external stakeholders about concerns regarding the NDIS Commission and its staff. This will involve assessing and managing referrals, working closely with the Director and Assistant Directors to ensure quality work is delivered within relevant time frames.

The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills, strong stakeholder engagement skills, sound judgment, and a passion for upholding the human rights of people with disabilities.

The role requires the ability to work collaboratively with staff and Senior Executives of the NDIS Commission, liaise with other government agencies, and manage the sharing of information in accordance with statutory obligations.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for preparing complex and/or sensitive correspondence and corporate documentation, including reports, briefings, and recommendations relating to Complaints against the NDIS Commission.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assessing and managing referrals received from providers, participants, the Minister, and members of the public about NDIS Commission employees and its processes.
  • Receiving and assessing referrals from staff of the NDIS Commission about matters relating to workplace issues.
  • Managing highly sensitive or confidential material.
  • Working collaboratively with staff and Senior Executives of the NDIS Commission.
  • Liaising with other government agencies and managing the sharing of information in accordance with statutory obligations.
  • Engaging across the full range of the NDIS Commission's functions, identifying and fostering opportunities to deploy cross-functional strategies to address integrity-related issues.
  • Preparing complex and/or sensitive correspondence and corporate documentation, including reports, briefings, and recommendations relating to Complaints against the NDIS Commission.

The successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain at least a baseline security clearance.
