Behaviour Support Practitioner Role

We are seeking a Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to individuals with disabilities and challenging behaviours.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Behaviour Support Practitioner to work in a dynamic and supportive environment. As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will be working closely with our team to provide behaviour support services to individuals with disabilities.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working within the NDIS framework and supporting individuals with disabilities and challenging behaviours. You will also possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist NDIS participants and their support networks through assessments and person-centred planning
  • Develop and implement evidence-based Positive Behaviour Support plans
  • Champion participants' goals, strengths and passions
  • Advocate for the elimination of restrictive practices
  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team
  • Build capacity in families, carers and community supports
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience working within the NDIS framework and supporting individuals with disabilities and challenging behaviours
  • Qualified Behaviour Support Practitioners or professionals with extensive experience in the disability sector
