Head Chef Opportunity

We are seeking a highly experienced Head Chef to join our team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in managing kitchen operations and delivering exceptional food service.


About the Role

The primary focus of this role is to ensure a smooth and profitable kitchen operation. This involves overseeing all aspects of food preparation, presentation, and delivery. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills and be able to motivate and manage a team of chefs effectively.


Key Responsibilities
  • Manage kitchen operations, including planning, organizing, and controlling resources.
  • Supervise and train a team of chefs to ensure high standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Develop and implement menus that meet customer requirements and preferences.
  • Monitor and control costs, including inventory management and budgeting.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and safety in the kitchen.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years' experience as a chef, preferably in a large hotel or remote village environment.
  • Experience in supervising and managing a team of chefs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Certificate III/IV in Commercial Cookery or Trade certificate.
