About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Chief Engineer to lead our engineering program for the Joint Integrated Control System project. This is a critical project that aims to modernise and expand the Australian Defence Force's Joint Data Networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with a global team of engineering leaders to develop and integrate a state-of-the-art solution.
  • Lead an engineering and technical project team to deliver a solution conforming to the standards, practices, and processes of the Raytheon Engineering Management System.
  • Guide the system design and act as the design authority.
  • Deliver major reviews, including preliminary design reviews, detailed design reviews, and test readiness reviews.
  • Partner with program management in long-range program planning for new or projected areas of technological research and advancements.
  • Act as a key spokesperson for the program's technical capabilities and future directions.

Requirements:

  • Contemporary experience with Tactical Data Links and the ADF's Joint Data Network.
  • Minimum of 10 years prior relevant experience.
  • Broad management and leadership knowledge to lead project teams.
  • Experience in the development, delivery, and integration of complex military electronic systems.
  • Experience as a design authority in an Authorised Engineering Organisation.
  • Eligible for Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng).
  • Applicants must be eligible to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance to Negative Vetting 1 level.
