We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our team at ISS Integrated Serv P/L. As a key member of our HSEQ team, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) function of our management systems.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and coordinate the HSEQ function of our management systems in compliance with HSEQ policies, plans, procedures, and statutory requirements.
- Lead and manage the on-site safety team and ensure the company complies with its legal and contractual obligations under the terms and conditions of contract and with relevant statutory obligations.
- Provide expert advice, support, and coaching to the site safety team, management, and staff to ensure they understand and manage their health, safety, and environmental risks and responsibilities.
- Ensure occupational health and safety and environmental plans and procedures for all site activities are developed, implemented, documented, controlled, and complied with.
- Manage investigations into accidents, near misses, and incidents to determine root causes and ensure incidents are appropriately investigated and actioned to prevent recurrence.
- Taking the lead and participating in visible HSE initiatives to drive site-wide HSE performance.
- Review, update, and present HSE reporting at client reviews and site management team on a regular basis.
- Minimum 2 years experience in a senior safety role (within the energy, utilities, or resources sectors highly desired).
- Proven ability to lead and inspire teams to achieve operational and service excellence.
- Minimum Certificate IV in WHS, lead i-Cam Investigator certificate, and knowledge of relevant State legislative requirements.
- Ability to think strategically, make data-driven decisions, and implement process improvements.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
