Job Summary:
The Youth Health Nurse will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide coordinated clinical care and treatment to young people. This role involves undertaking mental health assessments, physical health checks, and providing ongoing care in accordance with best practice and relevant clinical guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide coordinated clinical care and treatment
- Undertake mental health assessments and physical health checks
- Provide ongoing care in accordance with best practice and relevant clinical guidelines
- Maintain AHPRA registration and adhere to relevant clinical guidelines
- Participate in professional development and external supervision
Requirements:
- Current nursing registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA)
- At least 3 years post-graduate experience as a Registered Nurse
- Maintain AHPRA registration for the duration of the employment contract
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
- Post-graduate qualifications in Sexual Health and Immunisation
- Post-graduate qualifications and/or experience in Mental Health Nursing
