Special Education Teacher

Cedars Christian College offers a unique learning environment for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or Intellectual impairments. Our school is dedicated to providing a supportive and inclusive community where every student can thrive.

Located in the heart of the Illawarra region, our school is situated within the grounds of Cedars Christian College.

We are seeking highly skilled and passionate teachers to join our team commencing in Term 1, 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach a stage-based class (Stage 2: Years 3-4, Stage 3: Years 5-6, or Stage 4: Years 7-8)
  • Provide RFF teaching across both primary and secondary classes

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Thorough curriculum knowledge and excellent teaching practice
  • Ability to structure lessons to meet diverse academic and wellbeing needs
  • Experience teaching students with diverse needs or willingness to undertake relevant professional learning
  • Capacity to create safe, inclusive, and challenging learning environments
  • Experience working with students with disability
  • Ability to incorporate a Christian worldview into lessons
  • Strong commitment to collaboration and teamwork
  • Positive contribution to the culture of the College community
  • Strong technology skills
